In 2014 we opened the first draft craft beer restaurant in Rockport, Texas. We had a selection of 24 craft beers on tap. During this time we renovated the restaurant and began to build our still-loyal customer base.

During this year we expanded our private chef and catering jobs to help accommodate more customer services and events. Sam began doing more private chef jobs for some well-known ranches in the South Texas Region and continued to expand the repertoire of a chef.

2016 was the year we leased our first commercial kitchen to help deliver services across the Rockport area, also during this year we aslo expanded our catering services exponentially.

We were invited out to the 16th Annual Taste of Rockport for our catering sevices. The last half of 2017 was a different time for us and the community of Rockport. We shifted gears from catering and restaurant service to volunteer work. Due to Harvey, we lost our first location and started to help the community in any way we could. We were blessed to serve 300,000 meals to those affected by the hurricane and those who helped rebuild out city.

A year after Harvey we were able to rent a commercial kitchen and get back on our original track of catering to the community of Rockport and giving them a taste of home. During this time we were looking for a permanent location for Mermaid's Kitchen.
