Samantha McCrary

Head Chef

Samantha's culinary journey began at the age of five with the making of white gravy. Two years later her skills grew with the knowledge of rue and creole inspired dishes. She was inspired to follow cooking by watching Julia Child, Justin Wilson, and Yan Can Cook. Accomplished taking gourmet cooking classes at the Culinary Institute of America. 

Payton McCrary​

Sous Chef

Being born a McCrary, food has always been a big part of his life. He took an early interest to cooking while hanging out with his mom in the kitchen, and by the time he was 5, he was a master of the cheese quesadilla. His experience has matured with his age.

Brandon Haynie

Sous Chef

Brandon came to be a member of the Mermaids family at 14, with the only intent of being a dishwasher. However, after experimenting in the kitchen with head chef, Samantha, he soon realized he not only had a passion for cooking, but an affinity for it. His skills in the kitchen quickly improved and there has not been a day since then when being in the kitchen has not been one of the highlights of his day. 

Robbie Vela

Sous Chef

Robbie joined the Mermaid's family at the back end of 2019. He has had a passion for cooking since the age of 8 when he first learned to make eggs. He is a self-taught home cook with skills in the kitchen and on a Bar-B-Que pit.

Front of House

Our rotating front of house family consists of Amy, Tiffany, Bekah, and Susan. These wonderful ladies keep everything running the way it should so that there are little to no hiccups during our dinner service.
